Powder Coating

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free flowing dry powder. The powder is applied by an electrostatic process, after which it is baked in an oven to create a hard finish.

Iron Phosphate De–Greasing

This is a process that de-greases metals and provides some corrosion resistance, whilst also providing the metal with an etch that aids the powder bonding.

Shot Blasting

Blasting is a way of cleaning old paint and rust off of metals to prepare it for powder coating.

There are a variety of different types of blasting. We use chilled iron, which is more suitable for the removal of old paint and heavy rust.

Masking

Please state on delivery of work any areas you wish to remain powder free.
